Head & Eye Movement & Processing
Our research studies in this area are designed to answer the following questions:
- Can head and eye movements, in response to visual cues, provide information as to the behavior of sensory and motor neurons in the superior colliculus?
- What constitutes normal head turn kinetics?
- Can age and gender impact on ‘normal’ kinematic behaviours?
- How do head movements in individuals with cervical dystonia differ from the norm?
- Are there typical characteristics of head turn kinetics associated with individuals with cervical dystonia and/or blepharospasm?
- How can novel technical advances, e.g. head-mounted displays, be employed to benefit our research?
